ASE Chungli Promotes Effective Water Recycling and Demonstrates Commitment to Sustainability Development in Taoyuan

For the first time in 56 years, Taiwan did not have any typhoons which led to severe water shortages and posed a huge challenge to the manufacturing industry. To ensure minimal disruptions to business, ASE Chungli was able to put in place measures to maximize its water resources through water recycling. The facility was successful with its efforts and was able to achieve a water recycling rate of 80%. This achievement is considerably high amongst the OSAT industry and was lauded by the mayor of Taoyuan when he visited recently.ASE Chungli is also a major employer in Taoyuan City, providing over 11,000 jobs. The facility was also proactive in offering wage increments of 3-5% over the last 4 years, and has consecutively provided festive bonuses to junior employees. ASE Chungli will continue to contribute positively to Taoyuan city and become an enterprise role model through its corporate sustainability development.
